One of the questions raised in class was why Erasmus chose to write about the social and religious problems of his times in a not so explicit and humor laced manner. Here is my answer, summed up in one video clip:
Personally I think Martin Luther could have used to take a page from Mary Poppins book. I'm glad Erasmus did.
